2005 Toyota Seinna Side Sliding Door Will Not Operate

The auto sliding door on the driver s side will not completley close.
2005 toyota seinna side sliding door will not operate. Close the sliding doors. Then it stops working at all. The sliding door on the passenger side of my 2005 toyota sienna does not work like the other side. Step 2 raise the hood of the van and disconnect the negative battery cable with a wrench.
The door open warning comes on and we can t get it to stay closed. This happens when the power sliding door. Press the sliding door control button on the sienna s dashboard so that the red line on the button is illuminated. The door moves very slowly and if the van is sitting slightly uphill the door does not seem to have enough power to close by itself.
The cable in the side door is prone to fraying and then breaking. When pressing the door open on the fob for the passenger sliding door the door would try to open but could not. When your sienna side door won t close one possibility is a circuit overload. It still works if we manually hold the exterior door knob or the interior door knob out for a few moments.
In this situation the best thing to do is to replace the cable. The sliding door would work manually pulling the door handle. None of the buttons work to open the door anymore. The actuator went bad.

If you push the open button inside the car or on the fob you can hear the motor try to open but the door doesn t budge and the motor stops after a second.
