2000 Ford F150 Door Locks Not Working

I just inherited my fathers 2000 ford f150.

2000 ford f150 door locks not working. Ford f150 lariat door lock problem. When pushing either left or right door button there is a click in t read more. This happens with both doors and both buttons. Is that the most logical thing or is there something else i can try first.

The lock actuators are not hard to replace they are inside the door. I have a 2000 f 150 and the power locks are not working properly. The automatic door locks do not work. The power door locks dont work at all i have to use my key.

Most likely the door lock actuators have failed this is not uncommon for both to fail at the same time. Specifically when i press the button to unlock or lock the doors the locks don t respond either way. I bet the noise kind of sounds like a humming grinding noise in the doors as you watch the door lock just vibrate. Checked the batteries in the key fobs checked the fuses checked the car battery.

If this occurs you need to troubleshoot the power door locks and keyless entry remote on the ford vehicle. Its a real hassel. Read that it might be an actuator problem not sure i can fix this. The door panel will need to be removed.

Step 1 change out the battery on the keyless entry remote control if the car is not responding to the buttons you press. They do not respond to the remote. This is due to the battery dieing. The electric part of the locks do not work.
