100 Series Sun Roof Stuck Closed

Sunroof is stuck closed and is leaking a little pours out from the passenger side onto the seat when stopping abruptly.

100 series sun roof stuck closed. Oh no my sunroof on my toyota won t close. I am not looking to fix the sunroof to make it open close but want to stop the leak. It kept almost closing and reopening on its own for a few minutes before it just got stuck halfway open. Sunroof is stuck closed and has a slight leak i want to clean the drain holes out and possibly replace the gasket around the sunroof glass if needed.

Remove the trim ring that holds the sunroof opening headliner that goes all the way around the inside of the headliner once that trim ring is removed pull down on the headliner on the front side of the opening. Sunroof lid retainer clip location e30 3 series shown e36 similar. Anyone have any suggestions. A broken cable or track will require the sunroof to be removed and total replacement of the sunroof assembly.

Tilt the sunroof into vent position as far as possible then press and hold the same switch for 30 seconds until you see it move release the switch and immediately press and hold it again the sunroof will close and open fully then close again do not release the button until it reaches the closed position for the second time. Can i remove the glass and put it back in with the sunroof closed. Open the sunroof lid 2 4 inches 5 10cm. If you have a map light or consul box you will need to remove that box to get the headliner to pull down far enough.

I have a problem with a 2000 year model 100 series. This can cost more than 800 to complete. We are sure it is the jam protector as it bumped against me. When i turn the sunroof switch to close it the motor just clicks now.

How do we get it to close. The sun roof is jammed and will not open any more than one or two inches. I can live with my sunroof not working as long as it s closed. Unclip the roof liner frame and push back into the opening.

I know this is an 80 series thread but is most relevant to the issue i am having with my 100 series 2003. I went to shut my sunroof and it was just about closed when it reopened on its own. I recently did a desert trip and i know some sand got in there and is causing the problem as it worked perfectly before. Well you shouldn t have opened it to begin with.
